William Lee, Ph.D., CEO, NOD Pharmaceuticals & Biolaxy
Dr. William Lee is a seasoned entrepreneur and has over 12 year biotechnology industry
experience.  Dr. Lee received his Ph.D. in biomedical sciences in 1993 and completed
his post-doctoral training at Parke-Davis/University of Michigan joint program.  Before
co-founding NOD Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Dr. Lee has founded BioAge Pharmaceuticals,
Inc. and formed extensive business network, particularly in China. Dr. Lee has
developed several key technologies, including NOD technology, and successfully
completed 4 technology license deals in China.  Dr. Lee is responsible for the operation
of NOD Pharmaceuticals as well as its subsidiary, Shanghai Biolaxy.
Damien Lim, General Partner, BioVeda Capital
Mr. Damien Lim is co-founder and General Partner of BioVeda Capital.  He has over 18
years of private equity and investment banking experience.  He was previously Director of
Investments with PrimePartners, a boutique private equity firm. Prior to that, he was
Executive Director of Vickers Ballas Asset Management and concurrently Senior Vice
President of Vickers Ballas Holdings (now part of DBS Bank) where he was involved in
private equity investments and strategic acquisitions. Prior to Vickers, he was Associate
Director, Corporate Finance with Morgan Grenfell Asia (now part of Deutsche Bank), where
he managed IPOs, debt and equity financing, and corporate advisory transactions.  Mr. Lim
started his career as a financial journalist with the Straits Times.  He received
his BBA from the University of Houston.

Zhi Yang, Ph.D.,  Managing Partner, BioVeda China
Dr. Zhi Yang is co-founder and Managing Partner of BioVeda China. He has over two decades of
experience in biotechnology, having held senior scientific and management positions in a variety of
biotech and pharmaceutical companies, including Sinogen, Incyte Pharmaceuticals, Prolinx, Sandoz
Pharmaceuticals, and Systemix. During his industry years, he was interim CEO, VP Business
Development, VP of R&D, Director of Molecular Biology, Group Leader and Senior/Principal
Scientist. As an entrepreneur, he co-founded BioChain Institute, Genex Biosciences and Crimson
Pharmaceuticals. He is also the principal inventor of more than 10 U.S. and international patents. Prior
to joining industry, Zhi was a senior associate fellow and faculty member at Rockefeller University. He
holds a M.A., Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Harvard University, where his
thesis advisors were Dr. Walter Gilbert, a Nobel laureate, and Dr. Jack Strominger, a world-renowned
immunologist. Zhi was among the first group of CUSBEA students from China to study in the U.S. He
obtained his B.S. in Virology from Wuhan University.
Andrew Lo, Ph.D., J.D., Director, CRCI Capital
Dr. Lo is a director at China Renaissance Capital Investment and has extensive experience in managing
porfolio companies, merge and acquisitions.
